Things are really moving along here these days. Everything I do now is finish work for the exterior. In the past 3 weeks or so we've put the windows in, the fascia board up, most of the soffit in, the drip edge on, and the tin on the roof. My dad and I are actually hoping to put the ridge cap on tonight to finish the roof off 100%! I thought I'd do a blog post in detail about each project but in reality, I don't know if I will ever get around to it(plus there are already so many resources online about how to install windows). So instead I'm going to post a summary and some facts about some of the projects.
-Fascia: I ended up using 1x6's and painted them before they went up. I decided to use a semi-gloss sheen and have actually been really happy with it. My dad brought it to my attention though that where two pieces of fascia end, or butt up against each other, you should do a 45º cut so when the boards shrink it won't just leave a gap, but more wood and just an area you'll have to slap some paint over. Below is a picture to show what I'm trying to say.

-Drip Edge: There's really no strategy here about how to make it easier or things to do and not to do. The only thing I'll say is I think you'll want a drip edge and put it on before you put on any tin. It makes everything look nice and finished, protects your fascia boards and covers up any gaps if you have any.
I think I'm going to leave the tin roof for another post. The last thing I have to add is check out my page on Facebook. I post progress pictures there as I'm working on the house in real
